The 300 level students of Faculty of law in a final match on Friday, 5th July 2019, defeated 400 level with 1-0 at University of Ilorin Main Bowl.
The match started at about 5:30pm in the evening with tenacious earnest on the faces of the two teams. Some minutes before the half time, the 400 level class was awarded a penalty kick, following a reckless tackle committed against Olori David on the box by a 300 level defender. Unfortunately, Adebayo Azeez (Ballack) lost the penalty which hit the woodwork.
In the second half, the two sides had various attempts to score but to no avail. However, tardily towards the late minutes of the second half, the 300 level class had a free kick just a few metres away from the box. A through pass, that caught the 400 level defence unawares, obliged Oloyede Olatunji Abdullateef the chance to successfully find the net and sink the hope of their contenders into Bermuda triangle. The goal, which was eventually the winning goal, was ceremoniously celebrated with different styles of jubilation.
Other sports featured in the festivity was an athletic event, which included 100 metres, 200 metres and Relay race.
The winner of the 100 metres was Adeyemi Richard of 300 level while the runner-up was Salaudeen Habeeb of 400 level. The winner of the 200 metres was Rabiu Mubarak Scholez of 400 level while the runner-up was Tajudeen Sulaiman of 300 level. Finally, the winner of the Relay race (4×4) was the 300 level class while the 400 level class maintained her post as the runner-up.
