84 students from 11 tertiary institutions across Nigeria are set to participate in the maiden Future Brand Idol contest to be held in University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria.
According to the organisers led by Ahmed Abdullahi, the participants are representatives of the following tetiary institutions, University of Ilorin,
University of Nigeria,
Lagos State Polytechnic, Redeemer’s University,
Imo State University,
Moshood Abiola Polytechnic,
University of Lagos,
University of Ibadan,
Lagos State University, Nigeria Institute of Journalism and Olabisi Onabanjo University.
The event supported by the creative, public relations and advertising industry is aimed at improving the creativity of students in Nigerian institutions, by creating an avenue for interaction among creative minds in institutions, prospective internship, networking, scholarship opportunities amongst others.
The competition will see the emergence of 5 finalists, 3 winners, one of who would be crowned the future brand idol. Individual awards will be awarded to each member of the 3 teams that emerge as finalists among other individual and team awards for the contestants and judges.
The theme for the year’s edition of the competition is “understanding brand’s problems” which seeks to educate the students on the need to identify and understand brand’s problems in order to effectively tackle them and satisfy clients.
FBI has created much curiosity and will stage her grand finale of the competition at the University of Lagos, on the 18th of April this year.
