In a visit led by her Director General, the Care and Compassion Network (CCNETWORK), on Wednesday, 4th December, 2019, granted relief to the family of Idowu Idayat at Ijagemu Ijegun in Lagos.

The Director General of the NGO, Mr Waliyulah Olayiwola, expressed his pleasure in seeing that the health of the patient has improved considerably.

According to him, CCNetwork is committed to helping Orphans, Motherless Babies, Widows, the sick, as well as the out of school children to get back into school, adding that “Education is the bedrock of our society. We will do all that we can to make sure every child goes to school and also offer help to those in need”

Also speaking at the meeting, Miss Idayat’s mother expressed her gratitude to everyone who had contributed to the fundraising for her daughter and pray that God Almighty save them from any form of illness.

Dr Olasehinde Ayomideji, who was the Doctor that attended to Idayat, also spoke to the CCNetwork team. He observed that, if many Nigerians can stand by people who are financially challenged in their time of predicament, things will get better for everyone and our standard of living will improved.

It will be recalled that Idayat Idowu had a health issue (Intra-abdominal) pain which was caused by purulent collection as revealed from Ultrasound. It was thence, concluded at the St Green Specialist Hospital, that the pain would be removed through surgical procedure which ran into half a million naira.

Realizing that this expense was too much for the family to bear, the CCNetwork swiftly launched a fundraiser for Idayat to complete the fund. The fundraiser yielded a sum of One hundred and forty-one thousand, two hundred and twenty-four naira only (N141, 224).

Out of this amount, the organisation brought a sum of N130,000 naira to the family in order to help them pay off part of the hospital balance. The remainder (of ten thousand naira) was, however, deposited into the CCNetwork’s account for miscellaneous uses.
