The excursion tagged “industrip 1.0” organised by the students’ association CISSA was the first of its kind since the birth of the faculty 10 years ago.
According to the president of the association, Mr. Imoleayo, “the first stop for the excursion was supposed to be Airtel switching centre’s main office at Ibadan but that was changed due to traffic jam, so we had to visit their mini station instead”. We also went to visit Olubadan of Ibadan, Mr. Saliu Adetunji in his popoyemoja palace.
Another student of the faculty, Mayowa Lawal said, the last place they visited were historical places in Badagry, “We visited the first story building in Nigeria, the point of no return among other places”. He also said entertainment was not left out, as soccer beach, asun party and a whole lot of funfair was involved.
The students who went for the excursion expressed their gratitude towards the organiser because despite the challenges, it was nice, memorable, worthwhile and worth every penny spent.
The Faculty speaker, Mr. Buhari Hassan said the organiser of the next excursion should learn from the lapses of this trip so avoid unexpected mistakes and build on the recorded glory.
