Management reacts, clears waste pile

The management of the university has cleared the huge waste pile close to Lagos female hostel.

The operation was carried out following an appeal made by students via UCJ to the school management to clear the waste pile.

The waste pile had polluted the environment for more than a month.

Passersby now feel comfortable passing the area as the offensive odour has reduced.

“We usually had to cover out noses whenever we passed the place, we’re glad our noses are now free” said a resident.

Another resident noted that the trash was infectious to the passers-by and to the residents of the hostel.

Residents of the hostel expressed satisfaction seeing the land free of the pile and passersby and residents can now breathe in fresh air.
