Ms. Lidwine Meffo is an international philanthropist who speaks French and English. She holds two Masters degree MBA in Project Management and MS in Psychology from Montclair and Devry Universities respectively. She is currently preparing for her PhD in Leadership and Management.
As an author, Lidwine Meffo has four publications ” Life Among Others”, ‘The Power of Anger’, The Smiling Foundation Children’s Book” and ” Relationships Start with God”. She is currently employed by the permanent Mission of Nigeria to the United Nations as an advisor.
With her impact on youth via the United Nations, she created her non-profit Organization named ‘The Smiling Foundation’ since 2016 which promotes Human Rights and Humanitarian Action in the fields of; education, health, agriculture and women equality in the African Continent. Ms. Lidwine is currently engaged in library construction projects in 22 African countries. Her project “Education for All” has been crucial for The Smiling foundation as it opened partnerships in Tunisia, Morocco Sénégal, Nigeria and Cameroon to meet her objectives.
Some of her successfully established programs include: workshops in Tunisia with Union Des Leaders Africans (ULA); young girls and kills acquisitions in rural areas in Nigeria , Women Empowerment Initiatives in Marrakech; the distribution of basic necessities and sanitation products to 1,200 women from the grassroots present at workshops in Cameroon, health kits to women in Nigeria and Madagascar. It has been her call working with several world leaders and officials to discuss necessary actions to be taken for the betterment of Africa and contribute to the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
Her overall vision for the economic and sustainable development of Africa in particular has greatly increased while working with the United Nations Organization. In the midst of all mentioned, she enjoys traveling around the globe and empowering women and young girls. She also owns her fashion salon named Meffashion in New York since 2000 and two others in Cameroon and Senegal. Ms. Lidwine is greatly committed to the course of seeing a developed and sustainable Africa and more of her exploits can be seen on her social media pages.

1. International Sickle Cell Foundation – Life Time Achievement Award at the United Nations.
2. Confederation of West Africa Youth ( CWAY) Most Influential person of the year in Sierra Leone.
3. Manhattan Perinatal Partnership- Best Social Worker of the year in New York.
4- Africa Hope Committee – Outstanding Outreach.
