Neymar says he wants to be helpful to his “buddy” Kylian Mbappe at Paris Saint-Germain, just as Messi assisted the Brazilian during his time at Barcelona.
The attacker and his teenage team-mate were both on target Wednesday as PSG strolled to a 4-0 win over Anderlecht in the Champions League, with the 18-year-old Frenchman scoring just three minutes in and setting up Edinson Cavani to help the French side to a 2-0 lead at half-time.
Neymar made it clear after the match that he does want to be friendly, at least with his younger team-mate, claiming that he’d like to help Mbappe the way Barcelona star Messi helped him.
“I’d like to act with Mbappé like Messi acted with me,” he said to the Brazilian TV.
“I want to help him. He’s my buddy.”
PSG are back in action with a Ligue 1 trip to Marseille on Sunday.
