The National Union of Lagos State Students, Unilorin Chapter held its Orientation Programme for new students on 15th of January at the Faculty of Arts class area.

The Union which has been vested with the act of bringing together Indigenous students from Lagos state held its Orientation Programme with important Dignitaries.

Important dignitaries who graced the occasion like Ambassador Ahmed Lawal of the Students’ Affairs unit, Miss Muhammad Fātimah Temitope – The Student’s Union Vice President.

Mr. Ahmed Lawal also ended on a final note by advising students that “ Keep up with your studies but join better unions like JCI, UCJ or acquire an entrepreneurial skill, develop communication skills, meet new people, socialize but never put your education at peril.”

Mr. Bagbansoro Uthman, Tokosi Ruqayyah – Oracle, Bamidele Dapo – President of the Faculty of Engineering, Yusuf Odugbemi – President, Department of Arabic were also present.

The president of the Unilorin drug free Club – Engr. Mustapha Faith gave students insights on how to have a stress free stay on campus and warned the students to stay off Drugs.

Mr. Adekanye Waliyullah from the Faculty of Law also gave an insight that “ Studies is important, but it alone is not sufficient, as the outside world requires more.”
