The whirling wings of the faculty of Law’s 5-aside female football team was yesterday crushed by the pedagogical faculty of Education in this year’s Unilorin Students’ Union games.
The match which took place at maracana football pitch ended seven goals to nil in favour of education leaving the faculty of law’s furry and curly wigs shaved out of the tournament.
In a likened manner to a popular maxim early to bed early to rise, the faculty of education within the first three minutes into the march netted the first goal which then opened floor for other six goals in a quick succession.
Pedagogue Aramide netted in the opening goal followed by a brace by her colleague Shakirah in the space of 7 minutes. Praise scored the fourth goal before the referee blew first half whistle.
The scintillating performance continued in the second half of the match with Dammy scoring the fifth and the sixth goal within the first ten minutes of the second hand. Praise scored her second goal in the match to make the scoreline 7-0 in favour of Education.
In other matches played on Friday, Physical Science lost 0-1 to Agric Science, Management Science saw off Social Science 3-0. It was a walkover for Faculty of Arts as their opponent from CIS did not show up for the game.
