The university of Ilorin has released the institution’s required cut-off marks for the 2019/2020 admission process across all the departments in the school.

As contained in the release, the minimum UTME score that qualifies admission seekers into the institution is pegged at 180.

See the list below

However, this is in contrary to the national benchmark score of 160 released by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, as agreed upon at this year’s conference on the modalities for the tertiary institutions admission by the country tertiary institutions admission stakeholders.

The 19th policy meeting on admission to tertiary institution for the 2019/2020 admission year which was held at Wole Babalakin Hall, Gbogan, Osun state, a week ago, also put a national benchmark of 140 as the least admission score into the country private institutions.

This policy has since, though, generated a lot of polemics, with majority in academia questioning the state of the education sector in the country.

University of Ilorin, according to JAMB, is reputed to be the most subscribed university in the country with about a hundred thousand of admission seekers opting for it yearly. This feat, this year, earned the university a monetary award by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB.
