Unilorin Warriors VS Futmina: Tie for a ride at the second leg

It was a goalless draw today between the Unilorin warriors and their counterpart the FUTMINA transformers at the University main bowl. 

At around 4 pm today, the Unilorin warriors set out on a battle to qualify for the semi-final stage of the Higher Institution Football League (HIFL). The turnout from the student populace was massive as the gallery of the stadium was full to the brim with a stern look from the anxious students like an anxious lion ready to pounce on its prey and shout Goal! as a sign of victory.

The game ended in a goalless draw leaving the two teams to decide their fate at the Futmina main bowl.  Although towards the end of the match an offside goal was scored by the striker from the opposing team which was nullified by the referee. 

The two teams prepare to have a duel at the Futmina main bowl to qualify for the next round of the league; Higher Institution Football League (HIFL). 

The Higher Institution Football League (HIFL) is an annual football competition for higher education institutions in Nigeria having about 52 Universities of higher learning with over 50games to be played. Research shows that in other to curtail the Covid-19 case, the organisers of this tournament have carefully picked 29 schools to be part of this year’s tournament and the Unilorin Warriors have made it to the Quarter Final stage of the competition.
