University of Ilorin’s Binlawal Yusuf emerges Chairman as NAUS, Kwara state chapter, elects new executives

The Nigerian Association of University Students(NAUS), Kwara State chapter elected new executives that would oversee its affairs in the coming year.

Since its inception in 2017, NAUS with its state chapters has been at the forefront of equipping and empowering her member with relevant tools that support career advancement and impact, contributing to the growth of its member as well as celebrating their success.

Members have access to numerous benefits, including but not limited to capacity-building initiatives, opportunities for valuable partnerships and collaborations, opportunities to network with dignitaries in the state, and other benefits, as well as opportunities to gain valuable leadership skills from selected mentors, amongst others.

To continue to drive the Association’s vision and mission, 10 of its active member were elected from different universities in Kwara state, one of which includes Binlawal Yusuf, a student of the prestigious University of Ilorin who emerged as the chairman of the association, and Busari Rukayat of the National Open University Nigeria who emerged as the deputy chairman.

Other newly elected executives include
Jimoh Bawa, KWASU, as the state’s treasurer, Balogun Quadri, UNILORIN, as the financial secretary, Aroworowon Akeem, KWASU, as the director of special duties and transport affairs, Ojo Augustus, UNILORIN, as the publicity secretary, Malik Bashir, KWASU, as the director of social and sport, Animasaun Quareebat, KWASU, as the director of gender and campus affairs, Adeyemi Joshua, KWASU, as the general secretary and Issa Muhammad as the assistant general secretary.

The chairman-elect Binlawal Yusuf, a student of the department of industrial chemistry, University of Ilorin while speaking on his new role as the chairman of the association expressed his excitement and gratitude to all the members for trusting him with the leadership role. He further stated that the new exco will focus on empowering students and positioning the organization for enhancement of visibility, impact, and connectedness.
